Sheikh Aboobacker Ahmed said about Dalit family were burnt alive in Faridabad

A nine-month-old girl and her toddler brother from a Dalit family were burnt alive in Faridabad after their house was set on fire early on Tuesday, allegedly by upper-caste Rajput men over a long-standing caste feud, triggering tensions in the area.

Jitender Kumar, the victims’ father, said over half a dozen Rajput men barged into their house at 3 am, poured petrol through a window inside the room where he and his wife were sleeping with the two children, and set it ablaze.

Growing intolerance in a secular country like India should be addressed properly as soon as earlier. By every intolerant movement now in action in the country, India's name and proud historic culture will surely be diminished globally.

Kanthapuram Usthad attend Ceremonial washing of Holy Kaaba

Governor of Makkah Prince Mishal Bin Abdullah on behalf of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, led the ceremonial washing of the Holy Kaaba on Saturday morning.

Saudi top officials including several ministers, Islamic scholars, Muslim diplomats, as well as citizens and visitors to the Grand Mosque, attended the washing ceremony, media reports said.

Two scholars from South Indian state of Kerala - Shaikh A.P. Aboobakar Ahmed Musliar, the General Secretary of the All India Muslim Scholars Association and Ahmed Siddeeq also attended the ceremony.

The ceremonial washing of Kaaba held twice in a year i.e. on Muharram 15 and Shaaban 1st. The washing of holy Kaaba is held following the example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who washed it after entering the Kaaba at the time of the conquest of Makkah.

The washing of the Kaaba,  begins with offering of two raka’a of Nafal prayers. The interior walls then be cleansed with rose, oud and musk perfumes using white cloth.

Zamzam water mixed with rose water then be splashed on the floor and then wiped with bare hands and palm leaves. After the cleaning, the floor and the walls are dried again with white cloth and tissues. The walls are then perfumed using large quantities of oud and rose perfume.

Arabic Language and Literature Conference:

 Fiesta Arabia campaign organised by Ma’din Academy began Today. The event is being held at this time to coincide with December 18, which three years ago was declared World Arabic Language Day by Unesco.

Of the event, Sayyid Bukhari, chairman of Ma’din Academy, said: “The programme aims at celebrating the cultural and literary tradition of the Arabic language as well as promoting the awareness of Arabic language across the nation. The event will also examine the influence of Arabic on other languages and various civilizations.”

M. Abdul Salam, vice chancellor of the University of Calicut inaugurated the event, which will end Wednesday.

“Language reveals the true nature of any society. Language reflects to the world what the society from which it springs is about,” Salam said.

“As an international medium of communication, Arabic has a great role in keeping people united. It has contributed significantly to peaceful co-existence in our beloved country,” he said.

ABU DHABI: Al Sheikh Aboobackar Bin Ahmad, the General Secretary of the All India Muslim Scholars Association, Vice-Chancellor of Sunni Cultural Centre, has lauded the tolerance policy in the UAE led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He told his Indian audience observing the 42nd UAE national day anniversary, held at the national theatre- Abu Dhabi, that the UAE provides facilitation to foreigners seeking jobs and protects them, besides assisting the poor and needy worldwide. The scholar congratulated the UAE President, government and people on the national day, noting that over 5,000 Indians attended this event to express their thanks to the leadership. He referred to the bilateral ties between the UAE and India and the keenness of the Indian community to contribute to the UAE’s development while observing the laws of the country. He greeted the UAE leadership, its people and the expatriate communities on the national day and for Dubai winning the right to host Expo 2020. The event was attended by Counselor Ali Al Hashimi, Religious and Judicial Adviser at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs and other senior officials.
